SSCA

Clear standards. No guesswork.

Certification is not a matter of opinion. Every song is measured against a published, consistent standard.

Our standards

  1. Word-for-word accuracy against an approved Bible translation
  2. No lyric alterations. Additions, omissions, or paraphrases that change meaning disqualify a submission
  3. Approved translations only. The current approved translation is NASB 2020
  4. Proper verse references, cited and verifiable
  5. Transparent review criteria, the same for every artist regardless of size or label

What we do not certify

Musical quality, production value, popularity, artistic style, theology, denomination, or endorsement. A song can be beautifully produced and still not receive certification. A simple home recording can be certified if the words are faithful. SSCA certifies fidelity to the text, not talent.

Approved translation

The current approved translation is the New American Standard Bible, 2020 edition (NASB 2020). Reviewers compare submitted lyric lines to the cited NASB 2020 verses. SSCA does not host a Bible text corpus and does not print NASB verses on public verification pages.
